Wedding Wednesday

Hello all! I hope you all had a great weekend and that day light savings time is treating you well! With only 6 months left, my weekend was filled with wedding planning and of course, family. Saturday, my bridesmaids and I finally ordered the perfect bridesmaid dresses for the big day! I don’t want to give too much away, but they are long, chiffon and have an amazing neckline that literally looked gorgeous on all of them. It was such a fun time and I am so glad to have that checked off the list, finally! For any ladies in the Maryland area looking for a great bridal shop for bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, or mother of the bride dresses, check out Amanda Ritchey Bridal. The girls that work there are great and super helpful and it’s a beautiful shop. Saturday night, Joe and I celebrated with his younger brother, Doug and his beautiful girlfriend Christen at their housewarming party in their new home! The house was filled with family and friends and of course good food (I always love a party that has food!). Sunday morning Joe and I went out on the boat for the last time this year before getting it winterized. It was literally the windiest day so it was super cold on the water, but I always enjoy wearing Joe’s old college hoodies and his huge coats to keep me warm, so that I did! We stopped at a restaurant on the water to watch the first half of the Ravens vs. Steelers game and then headed in to clean up the boat and get home before dark. We spent our Sunday night getting our save the dates in envelopes and stamped.

Finally, our save the dates are going out and another huge sigh of relief that yet another task has been checked off the list! We ordered our save the dates from a website that I am sure most brides have heard of, Minted. They had a special where they would address the envelopes at no additional cost so we made sure to get them ordered in time for the special! Huge cost saver, ladies. For my fellow brides out there planning a wedding, the 6 month mark comes before you know it and once you’re 6 months out there are so many little things to get nailed down for your big day! Don’t stress, get the Knot app on your phone if you don’t already have it, it’s been my bible throughout this whole process. And just remind yourself, all that matters is the love between you and your soon to be spouse, the rest will fall into place. A venue and all the material parts of your wedding don’t define the love you have for each other. Do what makes you both happy and your day will be exactly what you imagine it to be. Good luck to all of you brides out there!

As promised, we have a giveaway this week!!  The winner of the giveaway will receive the color of their choice of this super cozy cable knit infinity scarf! img_9841

To enter into the giveaway, either like and share my Facebook post or like and tag a friend in my  Instagram post. Don’t miss out, ladies! I will see you back here on Friday for my recent favorites and to announce the winner of the giveaway!
