Keep Calm and Romper On

Hello!! A week away from you all is just way too long! First, I hope you all had a great weekend and are enjoying the transition to Fall. My past week and weekend is almost a complete blur! I feel as if so much has happened that I am not sure where to begin, but since I have had many of you, friends and family reaching out to me regarding my health I will start there. I have always had stomach issues for as long as I can remember when it comes to any sort of fatty food, you know, the stuff that tastes good but is just so bad for you. So I have always tried my best to stay away from them. But more recently, I would say about a month ago I started noticing that I just didn’t feel right. I was stressed at work, drinking coffee like crazy, trying to plan for our upcoming wedding and was just a wreck. I became super bloated and extremely uncomfortable with terrible stomach pains and finally after a month of this, I went to a doctor. I learned that my body doesn’t absorb fats which is why I have always had issues when it comes to fatty foods. I also learned that I wasn’t getting enough fiber a day which was not a shocker to me. I had a few tests done and found out that I have a bacterial overflow in my body. It has been a bit of a process to get to this final conclusion, but I will be on a 3 month regimen which will help to kill the bacteria and hopefully I will be back to my normal self after these 3 months. My biggest piece of advice is to listen to your gut, literally. Doctors call it your “gut brain”. When your digestive tract isn’t doing so hot, not only does it affect you physically but, you become irritable and exhausted. Always think about what you are putting into your body because you only have one and it has to last you for your entire life! Now that we have gotten that out of the way, let’s get on to this amazing Fall inspired romper (of course). I was missing my favorite photographer and still not feeling my best so I apologize for the mirror selfies, but I couldn’t leave you all hanging on a new outfit post! Oh and don’t mind the fact that I am not smiling in any of them, I just had dental work done (yes on top of all this other stuff!) and half of my face was numb so believe me you did not want to see that! This amazing romper is from Dottie Couture Boutique. You can dress it up or down with a strappy heel for a night out or a cute pair of booties!

I hope you all have a great day and I will definitely see you back here for some Friday Favorites! Oh and a Happy New Year to my fellow Jews!
