Nashville

Hello lovelies!! So I have had a crazy weekend and beginning to my week. Joe and I left Friday after work for Nashville because I had a conference for work on Monday and Tuesday. We decided it would be fun to enjoy the weekend together before my conference and that, we did! We stayed at the most beautiful hotel, Union Station Hotel. It used to be an old train station that they have been renovating into a hotel. Each room in the hotel is unique from its size to the interior design and we were in love with ours! Let’s just say we had 18 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows looking out at the city. Ugh, heaven! The location was perfect. A short walk to downtown Nashville, which is where my conference was, and a short walk to this fun neighborhood with tons of restaurants called The Gulch. Needless to say, we walked everywhere, which I loved. After we checked into the hotel Friday night, we went to a really neat restaurant/bar called The Flying Saucer. The walls were covered with different types of plates or “saucers”. They had tons of beers on tap and they had a beer club called the Ring of Honor where you could eventually get your name put onto a saucer that was then hung on the wall. We were exhausted after the flight so we had a low key night and hung out in our amazing room the rest of the night. Saturday we walked downtown and had a blast going in and out of tons of bars with live music. Love the live music in Nashville! We later met up with two of Joe’s friends that were also in Nashville for the weekend and had some drinks and lunch at a roof top bar called The Valentine. Later, we ventured to Honky Tonk Central. For those of you who have not been to Nashville, Honky Tonk Central is the place to be. Live music on each floor and tons of people watching; my favorite! We must have seen at least 50 bachelorette parties in Nashville that day, it was crazy. Everywhere you turned there was another bride and her “tribe”. Nashville has these fun bars on wheels that a lot of bachelorette parties took advantage of. The bar is in the middle and you sit around the outside and pedal your way around downtown; a workout and some fun! We met a fun couple at the Honky Tonk later on Saturday and we had a blast with them. They were from Memphis, in town for the Titans game on Sunday and they were the absolute sweetest and pretty hysterical! For dinner on Saturday, we ate at a restaurant in The Gulch, called Watermark. For those of you who may be travelling to Nashville soon, Watermark is a definite for dinner. They have an amazing lobster risotto that we literally scarfed down! Sunday, we went to a bar/restaurant called Broadway Brew House to watch the Ravens game. The Memphis couple we met on Saturday told us that the Brew House had tons of TVs and would definitely put the game on for us, and that they did! Sundays at the Broadway Brew House is 2 for 1 beers/ciders which can be a blessing and a curse and let’s just say for me, it was not a blessing! We had a great time with lots of drinks for sure. After the game we headed back to the hotel for a nap and well, the night was over for us! The next morning was a little rough and coffee was my best friend for this conference, that’s for sure! Joe walked me to the conference Monday morning and he played golf while I met some other HR folks in my industry. Monday night we ate at another great spot in The Gulch, called Moto. It was an Italian wine bar/restaurant and super swanky! And sadly, Tuesday we headed home after my conference. It was a fun and adventurous weekend with my love and getting back to work this week was definitely hard! Check out some pictures from our Nashville adventure, below.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend and I will see you back here on Wednesday for an outfit post (I promise) and ANOTHER giveaway!!
