Friday Favorites

It’s finally Friday, ladies!! Hopefully you all had a good week and will have an even better weekend! I know we are definitely having a boat day on Saturday and then Sunday we have an “I do BBQ” for a beautiful friend of mine. The “I do BBQ” is a cute twist on the traditional bridal shower, instead of just women, the BBQ is for couples so I am super excited to celebrate the wonderful couple! Okay, so this Friday Favorites post is all about SHOES. I know, oh my god, shoes. I am sharing a few of my favorite styles lately from some of my favorite places to shop for a great pair of shoes at affordable pricing. I am loving the platform trend and that platform shoes are coming back! Check out a few of my favorites below.

Platform shoes make any look super flirty. You can literally where them with anything (other than sweats) to make your look a little more girly. A cute dress or shorts and a top would look amazing with a nice pair of platforms! A little tip for my fellow short ladies: always look for heels that have a platform because they are so much more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The above platforms are from Dottie Couture Boutique and Red Dress Boutique. One of my other favorites for shoes lately are lace up sandals. These are super cute with a pair of jean shorts or even a dress. See some of my favorites below.

Lace up sandals are super trendy right now and there are so many different styles to choose from. I personally don’t wear the lace up sandals that go up to the knee because I am so short and it looks like it cuts off my legs and makes me look shorter which I clearly don’t need! I still LOVE the lace up sandals that go up to the knee, they just don’t look as flattering on me personally. I go for the lace up sandals at the ankle or a little above. They are super cute and I am loving anything suede, especially for upcoming fall! And of course, anything with a heel pretty much has my heart so a lace up sandal with a heel like the first picture is a definite keeper. Find these styles at Dottie Couture Boutique, Red Dress Boutique and Lulu’s. Next up are some strappy heels! Whether it’s an ankle strap or tons of straps across the top of your foot, to me they are all so fashionable and should be worn with a dress to give it that little something extra for a special night out. Check out the pictures below and you will see what I mean!

I know, you are probably sensing a bit of a theme here with the nudes, taupes and tans but they literally go with everything so I just had to! My all time favorite strappy heel lately is the tie around the ankle with the tassels on the ends, so cute! You really can’t go wrong with an ankle strap heel. It almost makes me think of how a choker makes your neck look. It almost gives you that sexy look without really trying at all. These styles are from Vici Collection and Lulu’s. And last but definitely not least, my all time favorite shoe: booties!

Peep toe booties are making my life right now! Perfect for a cool summer night and especially fall which is right around the corner. Wear them with a cute pair of jeans, shorts or a dress. I am most recently loving the peep toe and peep heel slouchy booties like the black pair pictured above. It shows just enough skin to take any outfit to the next level! And of course you cannot go wrong with a little peep toe action AND a tie around the ankle with some tassels. Super cute if you want to go for a boho chic look! These styles are from Dottie Couture Boutique, Target and Vici Collection.

You know you want to, just go buy a pair of any of these styles and make your pretty little feet happy, I know I will!! Have a great weekend and I will see you all back here on Wednesday for an outfit/weekend post!
